VGA at INTERPLAY Conference

The INTERPLAY conference touches down this weekend in Chicago and Evanston!

Co-sponsored by the University of Chicago and Northwestern University, the Interplay Graduate Student Game Studies Conference seeks to interrogate and expand the limits of the field of game studies by bringing together students, scholars, and practitioners to discuss, collaborate, and play. The conference will be capped-off by an independent game arcade, where local game makers will be on hand to share their work and design process.

VGA will be participating in both days of this conference. First, VGA Co-Director Chaz Evans will speak about public game exhibitions at University of Chicago's Franke Institute for the Humanities (Located in the Joseph Regenstein Library, 1100 E 57th St, Chicago, IL 60637) at 3pm, Friday 10/23.

On Saturday night 10/24 at 7pm, Jackson Junge Gallery (1389 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60622) will host a game reception where games will be played, discussion will thrive, and VGA prints will be on display.

Full information and schedule can be found here. Hope to see you there!
