VGA Gallery presents a new online exhibition of student work, all of which is playable online or available for download.
The games in SPARKLE PILE were created in the winter quarter of 2021 by students in RTVF 376 Intermediate/Advanced Video Game Studio at Northwestern University.
The course was instructed by Chaz Evans and was conceived as a nine week game jam. The goal was to produce games that engage with the world around them rather than create isolated virtual worlds.
As with OASIS: A Collaborative Virtual Reality Design Exhibition Exploring the Post-Capitalist Mall in December 2020, VGA Zine is not just a platform for articles by writers and creators, but also for the display of student work. If you are an instructor teaching game design or new media art and are interested in having your studentsโ digital projects shown here, please reach out to us at info@vgagallery.org.
