Volunteer for VGA!

Video Game Art (VGA) Gallery is Chicago’s first nonprofit art gallery devoted to video games and new media, and serves more than 10,000 people every year. Founded in 2013 in the city’s lively game community, VGA seeks to increase cultural appreciation, education of video games and new media through exhibition, study, critique, and sale. Annual programs include exhibitions and events featuring the work of significant artists and game developers from around the world; education programs are comprised of talks, screenings, and student programs; the VGA fine art print collection encompasses giclees and posters of artwork from video games; and a scholarly publications program that includes the VGA Reader, a peer-reviewed journal that highlights new scholarship about video games and new media art. VGA is located at 2418 W Bloomingdale Ave Apt 102 Chicago IL 60647.

Women and people of color are encouraged to apply.  Staff will receive a modest annual stipend for their service and compensation is expected to increase in the future.
